Tom Veit spoke to IndyCar driver Charlie Kimball about the upcoming season. Charlie is spending the day in Philadelphia talking about diabetes and overcoming it. He will be touring the country doing this to kick off Diabetes Awareness Month.

So I understand you’re up in Philly right now?
“I am. I’m here going to be spending a little time at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia this afternoon meeting kids and talking to them about having diabetes, overcoming the challenge and living my dream as a race car driver. Kicking off November and Diabetes Awareness Month and I’ll be all over the country talking about diabetes and racing.”

Will we see you here in St. Pete in March? (for the St. Pete Grand Prix)?
“Yeah I’m looking forward to it. It was great to have the 2015 Verizon IndyCar schedule announced yesterday. The domestic opener back here in North America starting with the Grand Prix in St. Pete. It’s one of the favorite stops for all of the IndyCar paddock on the schedule because it’s kind of like the first day of school. Everyone has seen each other a little over the winter but everyone kind of hibernates as much as possible and catches up with vacation because the racing schedule is so busy and then we come down to St. Pete and the weather is always great and the race track is fun. The whole Bay Area is so much fun so we really enjoy coming down there and going racing.”
