“I’m really happy with a top-10 finish for the No. 83 Tresiba® Chevrolet. The Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing guys did a great job this weekend with the stops and giving me a solid car to go out and race. I’m still shaking my head at the stewards’ call for blocking on the 5 car. I passed the No. 5 car cleanly, but they thought I was blocking. I definitely don’t agree with it, but we’re going to review the tape to see what they saw to make them make that call. We’ll figure it out and carry some of this top-10 momentum from qualifying and the race into the month of May for the GP of Indianapolis and the 500.”

“I’m really happy with our progress this afternoon. The 83 car was not where we needed it to be yesterday, and I don’t think I was getting the most out of it. Even during this morning’s session, we couldn’t find the right direction. We definitely went the right way during qualifying; we put the alternate Firestone tires on and found quite a lot of lap time. It was nice to make it through to the top-12 and start inside the top-10 with the Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing team. We’ve got a good direction for our race setup, and it’s always good to see all four Ganassi cars inside the top-11.”

“Honestly, today was probably one of the more frustrating days I’ve ever had in an Indy car. We couldn’t find the balance and we really struggled to find grip. We tried a few different things and just went in circles. We need to really look hard tonight and figure out what direction we need to go in for tomorrow’s practice session to prepare for qualifying. I’m very confident in the Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing guys and I know we’ll get it figured out, but it just kind of feels like we’re chasing our tails at the moment.”
