IN CK’S WORDS
“Overall, it was just a really good day for the 83 car. The result wasn’t what we wanted, finishing outside the top-10. I think we had the opportunity for a top-five car today. The guys in pit lane were just so quick. During the second stop under yellow, we made up a couple spots on the grid and never gave them back. It was unfortunate the yellow came out when it did, but we’ll take the points and move on to Mid-Ohio. We’ve got a pretty good record there. The fans were great here at the Honda Indy Toronto all weekend. It’s such a pleasure coming up to Toronto each year–it’s rapidly becoming one of my favorite stops of the Series.”

SATURDAY, JULY 16
RESULTS
Practice 3: P8, 1:01.1957
Qualifying: P17, 1:00.906

IN CK’S WORDS
“I’m a little disappointed with the qualifying result. But I’m really proud of the Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing guys and the work they did last night. We had a really good car for practice this morning. I just seemed to miss it a little bit trying to get the grip lap time out of those alternate Firestones, but I know we’ve got good tires and a great car for tomorrow. With a little bit of strategy, we’ll be racing up front.”

FRIDAY, JULY 15
RESULTS
Practice 1: P14, 1:03.7201
Practice 2: P21, 1:03.2453

IN CK’S WORDS
“It was disappointing to have our second session end early. I was just on fresh tires, trying to get a little aggressive in turn 11; I caught the apex wall and then it put me in the outside wall. I know the guys will fix it–I have the utmost confidence in the Novo Nordisk Chip Ganassi Racing crew. I think the car’s pretty good. We’ll take a look at data of the 9, 10 and 8 cars tonight and see what we can learn from our teammates. I think the No. 83 Novo Nordisk Chevrolet will be good to go for practice tomorrow morning and qualifying in the afternoon.”
