Consistent Kimball looks to win more on IndyCar circuit
The final race of the 2016 IndyCar Series season, marked Camarillo native Charlie Kimball’s 100th start on the circuit.
Reaching the magic 100 number, capped off a big season for Kimball where he posted 11 Top 10 finishes, propelling him to finish ninth in the season points standings.
It marked the third consecutive season the Rio Mesa High graduate improved his points ranking, demonstrating the kind of consistency Kimball has become associated with since joining the Chip Ganassi team in 2012.
Coming off perhaps the strongest season of his career, Kimball heads into Sunday’s 2017 season-opening event in St. Petersburg, Florida, with both momentum and optimism.
